Pytsye is a soup from beef feet, served hot with toasts. Pytsye is a poppular Jewish dish served on special occasions.

Ingredients for preparing Pytsye:

I think that this necessarily soup to your taste, delicious, nourishing and very hearty.

  • 2 kg beef feet.
  • 2 ea onions.
  • 1 ea carrot.
  • 3 ea garlic cloves.
  • 2 ea eggs beaten up.
  • 2 ts sugar.
  • 1 ts lemon juice.
  • 1 ea bay leaf.
  • 3 l water.
  • Salt.
  • Pepper.
  • Toasts.

Method:

  • Beef foot soak in cold water for a couple of hours.
  • Then wash well and cut across.
  • Again pour cold water overnight.
  • The water is drained and fill with fresh water.
  • Bring to a boil and cook over low heat until tender.
  • An hour before the end of cooking, add the broth and bay leaves, salt, pepper and cut into 2 parts carrot.
  • Finished legs removed from the broth.
  • Broth strain, and the meat separated from the bones and cut into small pieces.
  • Sliced meat mix with the broth, add the lemon juice and sugar and bring to a boil.
  • When the broth boils, enter the beaten egg with a fork and pour pepper.
  • With bread crusts cut off, cut into pieces and dried in an oven.
  • Crackers combine with crushed garlic and mix well.
  • Pytse served at the table hot, in a separate platter serve crackers.
