Pytsye is a soup from beef feet, served hot with toasts. Pytsye is a poppular Jewish dish served on special occasions.
Ingredients for preparing Pytsye:
I think that this necessarily soup to your taste, delicious, nourishing and very hearty.
- 2 kg beef feet.
- 2 ea onions.
- 1 ea carrot.
- 3 ea garlic cloves.
- 2 ea eggs beaten up.
- 2 ts sugar.
- 1 ts lemon juice.
- 1 ea bay leaf.
- 3 l water.
- Salt.
- Pepper.
- Toasts.
Method:
- Beef foot soak in cold water for a couple of hours.
- Then wash well and cut across.
- Again pour cold water overnight.
- The water is drained and fill with fresh water.
- Bring to a boil and cook over low heat until tender.
- An hour before the end of cooking, add the broth and bay leaves, salt, pepper and cut into 2 parts carrot.
- Finished legs removed from the broth.
- Broth strain, and the meat separated from the bones and cut into small pieces.
- Sliced meat mix with the broth, add the lemon juice and sugar and bring to a boil.
- When the broth boils, enter the beaten egg with a fork and pour pepper.
- With bread crusts cut off, cut into pieces and dried in an oven.
- Crackers combine with crushed garlic and mix well.
- Pytse served at the table hot, in a separate platter serve crackers.
